Clarke H "Pete" Meredith
October 4, 1947 - August 10, 2025
Pete Meredith of East Wenatchee age 77, was born in Wenatchee to Agnes and John Meredith of Cashmere.
He had many treasured friendships from his school years in Cashmere, where he graduated in 1965. Other friends came into his life at the University of Washington where he received a full Navy scholarship, graduating in 1969. After graduation he served in the US Navy as a Commissioned Officer.
Pete followed in the family business, and owned Meredith Hallmark Stores in East Wenatchee, and others in the Seattle area. When Pete no longer had the Hallmark Stores, he would keep himself busy in the fall and winter months, managing the Calendar Club in East Wenatchee. He enjoyed the business, the many friends and great memories that were made. Pete would often say "if you love your job, it is not work". He loved his job and took pride in his business.
Pete enjoyed golfing with his friends, boating in the Puget Sound and woodworking. He was a talented craftsman and did much of the finish work on the home he and Kim had built. He always had projects inside and outside the home that he enjoyed doing, there was always a "next project" in mind.
He cherished coming home after a day of work or travel. He loved his home and all the family and friends he entertained and shared special times with. Many enjoyed his prime rib, barbecues, and great hospitality.
He is survived by his wife Kim, children, Shannon, JJ (Kellie), Caleb Paine (Jocelyn) and Rebecca Schott. Grandchildren Lilli, Hana, Elly, Charlotte, Hayden, Dylan, Keaton, Cora, Bella, Kali and Kaison. Sons in law Dom Bauer and Bobby Schott. Sister Jan and brother John, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Agnes and John Meredith, brother Jeff Meredith and nephew Luke Meredith.
A Celebration of Life will be, Tuesday September 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. Eastmont Baptist Church 400 S. Kentucky East Wenatchee, WA.
