John Alfred McGinness
December 27, 1952 - March 17, 2025
John Alfred McGinness, 72, passed away at his home in East Wenatchee, WA on March 17, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on December 27, 1952, to Dan and Shirley McGinness in Minneapolis, MN, John was the fourth of five children.
John served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1980. He received a bachelor's degree in science from Central Washington University in 1988.
On August 11, 1984, he married the love of his life, Olivia, in Wenatchee, WA. The two made their home in the Wenatchee Valley and celebrated their 40th anniversary last August.
In his free time, he loved fishing, baking pies, taking road trips and telling dad jokes. Most of all, he loved spending time with Olivia and their three children, Thomas, Dianne and Casie.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia; his three children, Thomas and Dianne McGinness and Casie (Cody) Fuller; his sister, Sandy Iverson; and his brother, Joe McGinness; along with countless cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two of his older sisters.
John will be missed immensely by everyone who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing he's at peace.
