Lambert Nagler Obituary

Lambert Lyle Nagler
March 16, 1932 - January 28, 2025
Lambert Lyle "Skip" Nagler II, 92, of East Wenatchee WA, formerly of Spokane, WA, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. He was born March 16, 1932 in Oakland, CA to Lambert Lyle "Bud" and Alice "Sally" (Elder) Nagler. Skip was the oldest of two children. He is preceded in death by his younger brother, William "Bill" Nagler.
Skip attended the University of Oregon from 1950-1953. His junior year he decided to take a break from his studies and join the U.S. Army. While in the army Skip ran the golf course at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas where he taught officers and their wives how to golf. After his discharge from the army, Skip returned to the University of Oregon where he graduated in 1956 and met his lifelong sweetheart, Jane Meador. The two were married in Prairie City, OR in March of 1957.
They moved to Spokane, WA where Skip successfully owned and operated eight shoe stores from 1958 - 1988 (Nagler's shoes), and raised four beautiful children. Skip was a long-time member of the Spokane Country Club.
Skip moved his family to Wenatchee, WA in 1988 and in 1991 opened his final shoe store. He retired from the shoe business in 2004. After his retirement, Skip enjoyed playing golf at the Wenatchee Country Club and looked forward to joining his friends for their weekly cup of coffee. Skip and Jane also enjoyed traveling. Their travels to Hawaii were very special memories for them.
Skips passion for golf was well known amongst family and friends. He played as much as he could and enjoyed playing courses all over the country.
He is survived by two sons, Jon Nagler of Arizona and Mark Nagler (Richelle) of East Wenatchee, WA; two daughters, Sue Shiflett (Brian) of East Wenatchee, WA and Erin Harlington of Kirkland, WA; three granddaughters, Tabitha Dechand (Blaine) of Wenatchee, WA, Brittany Ward (Ky) of East Wenatchee, WA and Tanner Harlington of Seattle, WA; three grandsons, Rylan McLaren of East Wenatchee, WA, Kellen Harlington of Kirkland, WA and Jack Nagler of Arizona; four great grandchildren, Tailynn Nelson, Cheyanne Dechand, Ollie McLaren, and Hunter Ward.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jane Nagler, less than 6 months ago; his parents, Bud and Sally Nagler; and younger brother, Bill Nagler.
You will be forever missed.. FORE!!!
