Mary Davis Obituary

Mary was born in Chelan, WA. to her parents Ed and Annette Butterbaugh early orchardist of Manson, WA.
Mary married Marvin "Dude" Davis soon after graduating from Manson High School. They moved to Holden Village in upper Lake Chelan while her husband worked at the mine. Afterwards they lived for a short while in Brewster, WA before moving back permanently to Manson in 1958. They celebrated 72 years of marriage together.
Mary served as a Blue Bird Leader for young girls and a member of Local Hospital Gild E. She and her husband were members of the Lake Chelan Boat Club, Snowmobile Club, and served as volunteers of Habitat for Humanities. For many years, Mary worked at the Seattle First Bank Branch in Chelan. She attended the local Methodist Church in Manson.
She is survived by her son Carl Davis of Manson; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; and an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. She loved them all, and her home was always open to friends and family. Mary was preceded in death by her older brother Elden, daughter Nancy Lawrence of Wenatchee, and her husband of Manson.
An informal memorial service will be held at the Methodist Church of Manson on October 11 at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, a get together is planned at the Manson Parks Department building in Manson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Manson School System Scholarship Fund.
