Sharon Lytle Obituary

On October 31, 2025, Sharon (May) Lytle passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and Jesus. It was her 54th wedding anniversary.
She was born the third youngest of ten siblings in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on December 23, 1950, to Othor and Marjorie May during their family's migration from Arkansas to the Pacific Northwest and ultimately the Wenatchee Valley. There, she graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1969 and, on October 31, 1971, married the love of her life, Ron Lytle.
She spent many years working in healthcare and for the Eastmont School District while supporting the creation of Lytle's Upholstery Shop, their successful family-owned business. They became staples in the local and regional hot rod communities and created a vast network of friends and colleagues. During those years, they raised two daughters-what she considered to be the best and most important job of her life. She ran a tight ship, but her fierce love and protective spirit made her the ultimate mama bear for many. Motherhood was her calling, and there was nothing more meaningful to her than her daughters until the grandkids came along.
"Nana" became a role that gave her an overwhelming glow. She was blessed with four grandchildren, and each one hung the moon in her eyes in their own way. She spoiled them in every way she could, and through her eyes, they could do no wrong.
In the end, it was her faith and trust in her Savior, Jesus; her family; and her friends that she cherished most. She embraced the role of matriarch, hosting countless holidays and gatherings to keep traditions alive and loved ones close. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend-always present in times of need, always with food in hand, always offering comfort, care, and unwavering support. She was a gift and a light, touching the lives of so many with her warmth and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Nelson and Waymon May; her sisters, Jane Speegle, Mary Rush, and Judy Lytle; and her brother-in-law, Mike Lytle. She is survived by her husband, Ron; her daughters, Amy (Garr) Dorey and Angie (Lance) McGinnis; her beloved grandchildren, Grace and Nolan Dorey and Claire and Carter McGinnis; her sister, Susie (Gary) Luna; her brothers, Max, Gary (Carol), and Eddie (Marsha) May; her brother-in-law, Chris (Lisa) Lytle; and many other cherished family members and friends.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our friends and family, as well as her caregivers, for all of their love, support, and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please enjoy a meal with your family and loved ones - this is what she loved to do the most.
