Cheryl Latessa Obituary

"I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done" - Lucille Ball
January 21, 2026 will forever be known as the day we lost our one-of a kind Cheri, lovingly known to her friends and family as "Cheeks." Cancer got her, but it didn't take our memories.
Cheryl Lynn Blaufuss, was born in Grand Forks, ND on February 27, 1954, to Charles and Marceline Blaufuss. In 1960, the family moved to the Wenatchee area where Cheri graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1972. After graduation, she immediately started her working career in sales. She met the love of her life, Gino Latessa, through work and they were just shy of celebrating their 33rd anniversary.
Cheeks was tiny but mighty and had the stereotypical traits of the oldest sibling, nurturing and in charge. That carried on to her own family and claimed making dinner every night to an old black and white movie relaxed her. Her laugh was contagious.
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Marcy, and stepson, Seth Latessa. She is survived by her husband, Gino; children, Heather Latessa and Todd Latessa; grandchildren she adored, Antonio, Ava, Harper and Augustino; as well as her siblings: Cindy (Randy) Selland; Connie Holderness; Bill (Dauna) Blaufuss; Bob (Lorie) Blaufuss; Shelly (Ross) Cargo; Randy (Katrina) Blaufuss; Pam Blaufuss; Greg (Cindy) Blaufuss; Debbie (Rick) Kenny; Jackie (Mike) Brueggeman; Becky (Steve) Woods; and Kim (Dave) Patterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cheri appreciated the family support so much. A huge thank you to her very special camping buddy, Dave Williams, as well as her Arizona sisters, Shelly and Jackie, who were all by her side to the end.
Those we love don't go away, they fly beside us every day. We love you Cheeks.

Cheri made working at KPQ better. Always with a smile and an encouraging word. I have never met anyone else who could move on high heels like she could.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones. May her memory bring comfort.
