In Loving Memory of Pablo Cotto-Diaz
March 3, 1956 – October 19, 2025
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Pablo Cotto-Diaz, affectionately known as "Pabli", who entered eternal rest on October 19, 2025. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, on March 3, 1956, Pablo was a man of warmth, loyalty, and generosity-a bright light in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
A man of many talents and even greater heart, Pablo proudly served in the National Guard before becoming a skilled welder, known for his steady hands and unwavering dedication. Yet, his greatest joy came from his true passion-baking. With creativity and love, he transformed simple ingredients into lasting memories, filling homes and hearts throughout his
Springfield, Massachusetts community with sweetness and comfort.
Pablo lived a life of simple joys and deep meaning. He found peace in quiet days spent fishing, laughter shared with family, and the simple pleasure of a home-cooked meal. Though he could be stubborn at times, his heart overflowed with love, generosity, and compassion. He gave selflessly, loved fiercely, and touched every soul he met with kindness.
He may not have always realized it, but Pablo was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. While our hearts ache with his absence, we find solace knowing he is now resting in the loving arms of his Savior.
Pablo was a devoted father and adoring grandfather whose family was the light of his life. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Valerie Cotto and Melonie Navarro, and his cherished grandchildren, Jonah Torres, Noah Torres, and Milan Navarro, who will forever carry his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Cotto and Aurora Resto, and his siblings Mariano Cotto, Geraldo Cotto, and Felicita Rosa. He is survived by twelve loving siblings, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Pablo's life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., followed by his interment at Oak Grove Cemetery of Springfield, Inc., 426 Bay Street,
Springfield, MA., at 2:30 p.m.
We invite family and friends to honor Pablo's memory by sharing photos, stories, and reflections on his memorial page-and by carrying forward the love and compassion he so freely gave to the world.
