Carolyn Thompson Obituary

Avilla - Carolyn Lee Thompson, 66, of Kendallville, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at her home in Kendallville. She was born on Jan 9, 1959, in Hammond, Indiana, to Francis and Emma (Worthington) Thompson. She had been employed by Community Hospital, where she found joy working in the kitchen. Carolyn loved to join her family fishing, spending time with her family, nieces and nephews, and being around her work family at the hospital. She is survived by her sisters, Gail Pease and Brenda Gipson, both of Avilla; a brother, Edward Thompson of Waterfall, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. In keeping with Carolyns wishes, no services will be held. Burial will be at the Avilla Cemetery, Avilla, Indiana. Contributions in her memory may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
