Deborah Meinika Obituary

Deborah J. Meinika, 75, of South Whitley, Indiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by family. Born February 16, 1950, in Pierceton, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Richard and Fern (Logan) Wood. She was known for her quiet strength, her unwavering devotion to family, and her gentle spirit that touched everyone she met. She also carried a subtle, delightful sense of humor that brought lightness and warmth to those around her. Deborah is survived by her loving children, Michelle (Carrie O'Brien) Meinika, and Kerry Meinika; her adored grandchildren, Jacob Bradley, Branden Meinika, and Gracie Meinika, who brought her endless joy and pride. She also leaves behind her sisters, Kris Keener and Kathleen Fiveson. Along with her parents Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Meinika; and brothers, Gary and Gail Wood. Deborah's legacy is one of compassion, quiet wisdom, and enduring love. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Please feel free to wear jeans. Private burial will take place at Eberhard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in memory of Deborah to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
