Dennis Zerbe Obituary

Dennis W. Zerbe, 73, of Decatur, passed away Monday afternoon on June 9, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 7, 1952, the son of William L. and June D. (Gering) Zerbe. Dennis was born in Wyandotte, Michigan and moved to Big Rapids in August, 1963. He lived in different areas of Indiana, finally settling in Decatur, Indiana, near his son, Cloyce "Leroy." He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, as a Technical Sergeant, retiring in 1993. Dennis loved riding his Harley, thoroughly enjoyed riding motorcycles with his family. He also really liked his cats. He is survived by his mother, June Zerbe; his brother, John (Cynthie) Zerbe; his sisters, Cathy Parker & Pam (Tony) Bennett; his sons, Daniel Zerbe, Cloyce "Leroy" (Fiancé Ashley) Zerbe & Joey Zerbe; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 nieces & 11 nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation an hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Rev. John Zerbe Jr. will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Adams County Cancer Coalition. Due to construction in front of the funeral home, please check our website for up-to-date access. Arrangements are entrusted to Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
