Eric Apt Obituary

Eric P. Apt, 52, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. Born on December 12, 1972, in Fort Wayne, Eric was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Nelson) Apt. He spent most of his life working in landscaping, known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Eric had a deep love for classic rock-especially Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica-and enjoyed cheering on his favorite football team, the Chicago Bears. He found joy in the outdoors, often fishing and camping, and had a sweet tooth for chocolate cake, chocolate- dipped drumsticks, and ice cream. Above all, Eric cherished time spent with his sons and his beloved rottweiler "Bear." He is survived by his three children, C.J. Apt, Dylan (Bayley) Apt, and Parker Apt; his siblings, Kenneth Apt, Tony (Stephanie) Apt, and Trina (Mike) Greenwald. He was preceded in death by his parents. A public memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 2 at the Fairmount Wesleyan Church (304 N Walnut St, Fairmount). To send a flower arrangement in memory of Eric P.
