Gordon Rice Obituary

Gordon Lee Rice, age 94, from Decatur, Indiana; Beverly Hills, Michigan; and Ave Maria, Florida died July 23rd, 2025 in Florida. His wife, Janet (Roudebush) passed away in 2016. His surviving children are Kevin (married to Kathleen) and Elizabeth Rice Bruton. His daughter, Risë Rice McGee passed away in 2022. He has six surviving Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Gordon graduated from Decatur High School and Ball State University. He served in the Army. Gordon lived much of his life in Michigan where he worked as a Sales Representative for South Haven Rubber Company and started his own company. He moved to Florida early in 2023 to live with his son and daughter in law. Gordon was an avid golfer. He was very sociable and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His friends called him "Gordie" and he was well loved by all. A Graveside Service will be held in Pleasant Dale Cemetery, at 11:00 a.m. on August 20, 2025.
