Peggy Russell Obituary

Peggy Lynn Russell, 78, of Churubusco, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born in Fort Wayne on July 1, 1947, to Donald and Dorothy Clifford. Peggy graduated from Northside High School in 1965. On October 3, 1992, she married James Edward Russell. She was a member of the Fellowship of Wesley Chapel Church. Peggy enjoyed reading and doing crafts. She worked in the office at United Oil for over 25 years, retiring in 2008. Peggy is survived by her husband, James Russell; six children, Mitzi (James) Johnston, Cassie (Douglas) Lawson, Jeremy Ferrell, Jamie (Malena) Wood, Sumikki Culver, and Melissa Russell; two brothers, Arthur "Art" Clifford and Joe Clifford; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Clifford. Calling will take place at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials to Fellowship of Wesley Chapel Church or Parkview Hospice. Online condolences to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
