Rita Middendorf Obituary

Rita Ann Middendorf passed to her heavenly home on May 21st, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born May 10, 1933, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Rita graduated high school, and entered the Order of the Precious Blood Sisters, where she served for many years. She then went to work for St. Joe Hospital, until she retired. She was a hard worker and always had a smile for everyone. Rita resided most recently at Heritage Park, where she was lovingly cared for until she passed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Edward Middendorf, and five sisters, Alice, Marguerite, Lillian, Irene, Dorothy, and their respective husbands. Rita is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and their extended families. She is loved and will be missed, but will always be in our hearts. Rita's final resting place will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana with a short prayer and blessing, June 17th, 2025 at 10am in the Resurrection Mausoleum of Catholic Cemetery.
