Robert Howard Pribble

Robert "Bob" Howard Pribble M.D., 92 of Warren, IN, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Heritage Pointe in Warren. Bob was born on February 17, 1933, in Warren, Indiana, to Clifford and Mariana (Good) Pribble. He graduated from Salamonie Township School in 1951 and received both his bachelor's and M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Pribble spent the next year as an intern and the following four years as resident in Pathology at what was then known as Marion County General Hospital. Bob worked for the Pathology department at Community East in Indianapolis, as a clinical assistant, he taught Pathology at Indiana University, and was also the Acting Head at the Department of Pathology. In 1968, he was a candidate for Marion County Coroner and he was also on the board at Citizens Telephone in Warren. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology at Indiana University School of Medicine. He was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology until his retirement. In his retirement, Bob traveled extensively and completed two novelas, each of which deal with events in Huntington County. Bob married Elinore Elizabeth (Waag) Pribble on May 27, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death in October of 2022. Bob was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bob loved genealogy and a good story. He spent his time visiting graveyards, watching old movies, writing, and painting. His love for his family was immeasurable. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Richard Pribble. Loving survivors include his children, Becky Lamboley of Fort Wayne, IN, and Robert M. Pribble of San Diego, CA, and grandchildren, Megan Mance, Lauren Lamboley, Clifford Pribble, and Florence Pribble. Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Trinity English Lutheran Church located at 450 W Washington Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will begin at 11am with Pastor Lee Zandstra officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren, Indiana.
