Robert Tricker Obituary
Robert G. Tricker, 82, of Decatur, IN, passed away Monday morning, August 11, 2025, at Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 25, 1943, in Decatur, IN, the son of the late George J. and Naomi M. (Schultz) Tricker. On September 11, 1965, Robert married Linda J. Rankins, she preceded him in death after nearly 42 years together, on August 2, 2007.
He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was a 1961 graduate of Decatur Catholic High School.
Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then worked for G.E. in Decatur until his retirement. He also worked for Adams Distributing and later for Aalco Distributing.
He was a member of the American Legion Adams Post 43, where he served as a Past Commander. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Adams Lodge1311 and Knights of Columbus Msgr. J.J. Seimetz Council 864.
He is survived by his children, Donald R. (Karen) Tricker of Decatur, IN, Tom G. (Jacquie) Tricker of Warham, MA, Michael W. (Kim) Tricker of Crawfordsville, IN, Theresa A. Johnson of Decatur, IN, and Amy L. (Trevis) Tuell of Paoli, IN; 11 grandchildren, Nick (Chelsea) Thieme, Nathan (Betsy) Thieme, Austin Tricker, Andrew Tricker, Kaitlyn (Nathan) Bowers, Emily Tricker, Lauren Tricker, Tori Tuell, Tim (Alyssa) Barr, Chandler Clay and Cody Johnson and 7 great grandchildren, Jackson, Audrey, Colton, Julia and Ava Thieme, Charles and Emilia Bowers.
Bob was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, David, James, William, and John Tricker; sister, Mary Ann Tricker.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Adams Woodcrest Porter Auditorium, with visitation prior to the service from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Father Jacob Runyon will be presiding and burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Military Rites will be rendered by the American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard.
Memorials are requested in Bob's memory to the Adams County Cancer Coalition.
