Andrew Krawchuk Obituary

Andrew "Butch" J. Krawchuk, 74, of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully Monday morning, September 8, 2025, in his home. He was the husband of Sally J. (Behun) Krawchuk since April 29, 1972. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Russell, Sr. and Emily H. (Hrusovsky) Krawchuk. Andrew was employed as Northeast Regional Manager of the Huffy Bicycle Corporation, Dayton, OH, for many years. Previously, He worked for the former NJ Zinc Company, Oxide East Plant, Palmerton, and as a truck driver/delivery route for the former Palmerton Coca-Cola Bottling Co. After retiring, Andrew enjoyed working as a school crossing guard for the Palmerton Borough. He was a life member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, where he served as Eucharistic Minister, usher, sexton, and maintenance man. He was instrumental in creating the Grotto Shrine at the church's New Parish Cemetery, A 1969 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he also was a former board member of the Palmerton Memorial Park Assoc. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with and caring for his grandchildren and garden. Survivors: Wife. Daughter, Amanda C. Krawchuk-DiGiovanni and husband John of New Market, MD. Sons, Andrew F. and wife Jennifer of Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, and Michael T. and wife Carlina of Morris Plains, NJ. 11 grandchildren. Sister, JaneAnn wife of Elwood Bowman of Shermans Dale, Perry County. Brother, Jan and wife Michele of Slatington. Sister-in-law, Barbara (Goodrich) Krawchuk of Henderson, TX. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Russell, Jr. Services: Memorial Services, 11:00a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 9-11:00a.m., Friday in the funeral home. Interment, Sacred Heart New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton. Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com. Contributions: May be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1640, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
