Anthony Perrett Obituary

Anthony L. Perrett, whose life was a rich and soulful soundtrack of love, laughter, and music, passed away on April 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 43. Born on August 31, 1981, in Bethlehem, Anthony had a rare gift for bringing joy wherever he went-his spirit as vibrant and unforgettable as the music he lived and loved. Anthony was the cherished son of Daniel and Deborah (Weiss) Perrett. His bond with his family was unbreakable, especially with his sister, Sarah Perrett, and her husband, Joshua Ressler. He adored his nephew Brady Walters and niece Joanna Ressler, sharing with them his infectious laughter and zest for life. Anthony was blessed with a close-knit family, including his uncles Leonard Perrett, III, James Weiss, and Michael DeAngelo, and his aunt Karen Weiss. He was preceded in death by his uncle Thomas Weiss and Aunt Margaret DeAngelo, who both held special places in his heart. Anthony was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 2000 and continued his education at Northampton Community College, driven by a lifelong love of learning. That same drive carried into his professional life, where he spent over 20 years as a dedicated and respected team member at Wegmans. He also brought his passion for helping others to his work with Western Governors University, always striving to make a meaningful difference. But it was music that truly defined Anthony's life. A gifted bass player, he was a cornerstone of the Lehigh Valley music scene, playing with numerous bands and sharing his passion across the region. His talent was honed through studies at Moravian College and under the mentorship of Frank Flandorffer, music director and instructor at Lafayette College. Music wasn't just something he did-it was who he was. It pulsed through every part of his life and will remain a lasting and cherished part of his legacy. Outside of music, Anthony found joy in life's simple pleasures-riding his bike, cracking jokes, and making people laugh with his quick wit and magnetic personality. His sense of humor was unmatched, and his ability to light up a room was something truly special. Anthony's life was driven by the deep, steady rhythm of kindness, connection, and creativity-much like the bass lines he loved to play. His legacy lives on in every heart he touched, every stage he graced, and every soulful note that continues to resonate through the memories of those who knew and loved him. Services: A Celebration of Anthony's life will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 A.M. until time of the service.
