Barbara King Obituary

Barbara King, 90, of Stroudsburg, passed away July 31, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono. Born on November 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harry Mader and Ruth Saunders. She worked at Valarie Fashions in Wind Gap for 30 years, Anna Sportswear in Bangor for two years, and Silver Arrow gift shop in Tannersville for eight years. Barbara is survived by her son Barry Kymer, grandsons Matthew and Jason, and great granddaughter Ellie all from Connecticut; her daughter Rita Fogarty (Jeff), grandson Brian and great grandchildren Kaiden and Lily all from Florida; her sister Doris Setzer and her children; her sister Sandra Pugh (Clinton); her niece Melinda Barno (Steve) and her nephew Chase. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Barbara London, Linda Allen of Dubois, Carol Ankeney of Maryland, and brother-in-law Donald Wells of Dubois. She was predeceased by daughter Dianne, son Steven, and her partner for the past ten years, Daniel Cappolella. Funeral services were held at the William H. Clark Funeral Home on August 8th. Interment followed at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.

I´m so very sorry for your loss. Barbara was so sweet and we had a wonderful last visit when I was delivering her Meals on Wheels. She was ready to leave this realm and her suffering. We enjoyed a nice hug and I wished her God speed. I´m sorry for your loss.
