Barbara Schoch Obituary

Barbara H. Schoch, 85, wife of the late Robert K. Schoch, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Reading, PA. Born in Hazleton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Cherwick) Litchko. Barbara was a homemaker who loved, and was very good at, cooking and baking an assortment of dishes and desserts. She also enjoyed playing games like Yahtzee and Pinochle. She and her husband, Robert, owned "Poky's Bowhunter's Pro Shop" which was located in Boyertown for over 25 years. Throughout her years, she also worked as a waitress at the Yellow House Hotel until her retirement. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and supporting them in every facet of their life. Surviving is her daughter Donna K. Nading, wife of Todd; daughter Diana E. Schoch; grandchildren Megan, Tyler, and Dr. Branden Nading; great-grandchildren Cassidy and Reece Burns, and Olivia Nading; brother John Litchko, Jr., and sister Patricia Schaffer. In addition to her husband Robert, she was pre-deceased by her daughter Theresa Schaeffer, wife of Terry, and her sister, Dorothy Durchin. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

As the time passes, may you feel comfort from the love and support of family and friends during this time.
Barbara was an amazing, hard working woman. She always made me feel like one of her own during our neighborhood visits during the days of Fancy Hill. God Bless!
