Barbara A. Silfies

Barbara A. Silfies, 77, of Macungie, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. She was the long-time loving companion of the late Donald C. Brey. Born in Palmerton, March 26, 1948, Barbara was the daughter of the late Allen W.H. and Pauline A. (Miller) Silfies. She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University in 1970. Barbara was employed as a computer programmer for Dun & Bradstreet in Center Valley for 11 years before retiring in 2007. Prior to that, she worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Durkee Foods, and the former Merchants Bank of Allentown. Survivors: Brother, Donald A. Silfies and his wife, Susan of Lehighton; sister, Susan A. Stephens of Macungie; nieces, Melissa Godley and Jennifer Abraham and her husband, Josh; great-niece, Kristi; great-nephew, Jared. Barbara also leaves behind many friends from college, past workplaces, and her community. Service: Private and at the convenience of the family. No calling hours.
