Beatrice C. Basile

Beatrice C. (Calvario) Basile, 92, wife of the late Robert E. Basile, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Pottstown Hospital. Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Nellie (Laudadio) Calvario. Beatrice was a long-time member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church in Stowe. She was also a long-time member of St. Gabe's Lodge. Beatrice enjoyed bowling in a league at St. Gabe's Lodge and also worked in the kitchen for special events they would host there. Bea liked to travel to Delaware Beach to visit her granddaughters and great granddaughter. She loved going to Shady Maple over the years with her friends and family. Surviving is her son Michael E. Basile, husband of Diane; daughter Kim M. Basile; daughter Dorothy L. Basile; and daughter Pamela L. Basile, wife of the late Perry Stein; grandchildren Angela and Vicki; step grandchildren Kim Diffenderfer and Terry Wood; and great grandchild Rebel. She is predeceased by her sister Rae Artz; sister Jane Mack; and brother Robert ("Chuz") Calvario. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Pottstown. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Beatrice's name.
