David DeFrancesco Obituary

David A. DeFrancesco passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominick & Mary DeFrancesco. He leaves behind his brother Dennis (Judy) and niece Julie Fletcher (Joe), and their three kids, as well as three cousins. And many friends who are really gonna miss this guy. The government says he was 71 years old, but what do they know. He thought he was still a rebellious teenager. His joints were getting creaky, he moved a lot slower, but his spirit was going full steam if he could help anybody. He was the "Mayor of Stowe" because he would always, and I mean always, help anyone in need. He bought two snow blowers just to clear everyone's sidewalk. Generators? Yep. Same thing. The unsung hero who did good deeds because it was the right thing to do. Dave was an anonymous bone marrow donor, for just one example. He had a great sense of humor and was a man who was happy with simple pleasures and the company of friends. He volunteered in soup kitchens and over-tipped servers. Dave embraced his Polish and Italian heritage, and he had that hard working attitude like all of his grandparents when they came from the old countries. The community and the world is a better place because of him. A brief memorial service will be at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home at 726 High St., Pottstown, PA at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024. Internment will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Although extremely generous to everyone else, Dave could squeeze a nickel until Thomas Jefferson hollered, so he wouldn't want anyone to spend money on flowers. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home is honored to assist David's family. Condolences may be expressed at warkertroutmanfuneralhomes.com.

I don´t know why I´m reading the obits on a cold winter Saturday...much to my shock I see Daves name. He was just in to pay his insurance and I just loved his visits. I´m really shocked and sad but I reading his obit and seeing all the wonderful comments I am so happy to see he had so many people who felt the same as I did. Dave was one of a kind. A heart so big and a kindness that is hard to find. I am so grateful to have known such an amazing man. I will include Dave in the Divine Mercy prayer I say daily in thanksgiving for his life and light. May his memory be eternal and may he enjoy the joy of his eternal reward.

I'm heartbroken. God made only one Dave, now Heaven has gained an angel. There were no frills with Dave, just down to earth true blue. I never met a kinder soul. He took such good care of his mother, I thought for sure he'd live into his 90's too. He'd save the local FishWrapper newpapers and send them to me quarterly. I'll miss our phone chats, group dinners and his homemade horseradish. Rest peacefully, my dear friend.

Always a smile on his face, and kind to everyone. What a legacy he leaves to the people of Stowe. May he rest in peace.

It's very hard knowing Dave will no longer be joining us for our dinners
I finally moved back to Pennsylvania and Dave offered to help with the move. I told him it was already taken care of. So he called ask me if he could stop by. He made a wonderful cake and brought a gift to welcome me back. I will miss you. Dave you were the most gentle and caring person and dinner meetings will never be the same. RIP my friend.
