Debra Leigh (Parvin) Godshall, 72, a long-time resident of Franconia Township, PA, passed away at home on Monday afternoon, September 8, 2025, embraced by her husband and children. She fought and stood up to a long, courageous battle with cancer. This past year highlighted a 50th wedding anniversary with her husband, Glenn, and the birth of her first grandchild, Grey.
Born October 25, 1952, in Sellersville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Jean (Somers) Parvin. She grew up in Telford, PA, was a 1970 graduate of Souderton High School, and attended Montgomery County Community College. Debra worked at Sperry Univac as an executive secretary prior to having children. After her children were older, she worked as a kindergarten teacher's aide for 28 years at Indian Valley Nursery School in Souderton, PA.
Debra was an active member of Zion Mennonite Church in Souderton, PA, for over 50 years. She valued volunteering at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppe, as well as at MCC Material Resource Center. She was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan, an avid reader, lover of animals, and enjoyed working in her flower beds and designing her landscape. Debra was a history buff, especially the Civil War, enjoyed traveling to new places and spending her summertime at the Souderton pool. While her interests and hobbies were many and varied, she cherished her time with her family and friends more than anything.
