Diane Sterner Obituary

Diane Elizabeth Sterner, 76, of Macungie, died peacefully June 14, 2025 in St. Luke's Hospice House. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mildred (Klepadlo) Palencar. Diane earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Cedar Crest College. She worked as a registered nurse for Bayada Home Care and previously Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. Diane is survived by her son, Charles F. Kerchner, III; daughters, Debra L. (Kerchner) wife of Michael O'Byrne and Tami L. (Sterner) wife of Clint Barthol; grandchildren, Jacob Kerchner, Benjamin Kerchner, Kaitlyn O'Byrne, Ashley O'Byrne, Danika Barthol, and Kandis Barthol; sisters, Sandra Infanti and Colleen Palencar. A private celebration of Diane's life will be announced at a later date. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animals in Distress, P.O. Box 609, Coopersburg, PA 18036.
