Donald R. Ostrander

Donald R. Ostrander, 85, of West Easton, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Tony. Born August 2, 1939, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Groff) Ostrander. His wife of 28 years, Barbara A. (Clark) Ostrander, passed away November 25, 2002. He retired from the former Berenfield Containers, Palmer Township, where he was employed for ten years. Previously, he worked at the former New Quaker Dyeing, Wilson Borough. Donald enjoyed bingo and trips to casinos, and years ago, hunting and fishing. He loved animals, especially dogs. He was a fan of the Phillies, Eagles and the Cowboys. He was a member of Lester W. Pfeffer, American Legion Post 611, Wilson Borough; Safety First Volunteer Fire Company, West Easton; and the former West Easton Athletic Association. Surviving are four daughters, Lesa A. Ostrander, of West Easton, Kelly L. Rizzotto and her husband Tony, of Saylorsburg, Christine Ostrander, of Easton, and Cathy Ostrander, of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Gregory and his wife Cassie, Stephanie and her fiancé Josh, Donald and his fiancée Liz, and Brianne; and eight great-grandchildren, Valerie, Miranda, Hayden, Claire, Lucas, Lydia, Emma and Harper. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two daughters, Cindy and Cheryl Ostrander, a sister, Helen Goble, and an infant brother, Stanley Ostrander, Jr. Services will be held at 10:30am Monday, August 4th, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough.
