Donald Williams Obituary

Donald E. Williams, 87, of Alburtis, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Above and Beyond at the Knights, Allentown. He was the loving husband of Ina A. (Hildebrand) Williams, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Dr. Carlin O. Williams and Edna V. (Overturf) Williams. Before retiring, he worked in construction testing of soil and concrete. He was a Peacetime Army veteran, serving in Korea. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, with fishing, hunting and gardening. Also, he was a Penn State football fan and Phillies fan. "Make American Great Again" was a slogan he strongly supported. Survivors: wife Ina; Lynne Stout and her husband David of Orefield; son Richard and his wife Theresa of Dallas, PA; sister Carlene Schmoyer, wife of the late Terrance K. Schmoyer, of Emmaus; grandchildren Lindsey and Will Stout, Dominique Boland-Rishcoff and Catherine Falzone; brother in law William Cameron of Allentown. He was predeceased by his brother Homer and his wife Ruth and sister Margaret Cameron. Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling hour to begin at 10:00 AM. Memorials can be considered to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o the funeral home.

The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
