It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy M. Snyder, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on November 23, 1930, in Lower Nazareth Township, PA, Dorothy devoted her life to her family and home, embodying warmth and compassion in everything she did.
As a homemaker, Dorothy found joy in nurturing her loved ones and creating a loving environment filled with laughter and kindness. Her creative spirit thrived through her passions for art and photography, capturing the beauty in the world around her and sharing that beauty with those she cherished. She was also a devoted caregiver to her many cats, who added happiness and companionship to her days.
Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren, Stacy Santos and her husband Michael of Palmerton, PA, Ashley Snyder of Easton, PA, Katelyn Snyder and her husband Dave Shukla of Union, NJ; four great-grandsons; sister, Ruth Shirer and her husband William as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Norman; daughter, Sandy Long; son, Stuart S. Snyder; siblings, Willard Paff, Norman Paff and Glendora Paff. Each of her loved ones carries cherished memories of her gentle smile and unwavering love.
The family will hold a memorial graveside service at Forks Church Cemetery, 4500 Sullivan Trail Road, Stockertown, PA 18083, to celebrate Dorothy's life. Dorothy M. Snyder will be deeply missed, but her spirit will always live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her kindness, creativity, and affection will remain a guiding light for her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
