Edward P. Wojdon Jr.

Edward P. Wojdon, Jr. was welcomed into heaven after a five year brave battle with kidney cancer on September 10, 2025. Born in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, he was the beloved son to the late Edward and Anne Wojdon, Sr. (nee Winters). Upon graduating Roman Catholic High School, Ed went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. He then married the love of his life, the late Barbara (nee Labriola) and together they shared 58 years of marriage until her passing in 2023. Ed was a devoted husband, cherished father to Patricia Morrone (Alex), Danielle Martino (Nicholas), Karen McGettigan (Michael), and Edward P. Wojdon, III (Tricia), dear Pop Pop to Anthony, Argia (Tristan), Natalie (Joseph), Nina, Michael, Nolan, Kathryn, and Emma, and great Pop Pop to Stella, brother to the late Roseanne Massaro, the late Patsy Amicone and the late Nancy Corocoran, dear uncle to many and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. We find comfort that he is reunited in heaven with his Buttercup, Barbara. Ed was a hard worker, dedicating several years at General Electric as a materials handler. He also served as a bartender at Brittingham's as well as owning and operating his own restaurant, Mr Christians in Roxborough. Even though Ed was private, he was exceptionally generous to those he loved and had a heart of gold. Ed didn't always have a lot to say, but when he spoke you were sure to listen and undoubtably laugh! In his free time he enjoyed running half marathons, spending time on the beach and cooking his favorite meals for his loved ones. Above all, his greatest joy was being with his family whom he held so dearly to his heart. Relatives and friends are invited to Ed's Life Celebration on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 9:30 am to 10:50 am with his Funeral Mass at 11 am all at Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Plymouth Meeting, 3050 Walton Road. Interment will be private.
