Edwin Miller Obituary

Edwin F. "Eddie" Miller, 94, of Emmaus, passed away on August 14, 2025, at Cornerstone Living in New Tripoli. Born and raised in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Milton and Jennie (Wagner) Miller. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores A. (David) Miller, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. A 1949 graduate of Emmaus High School, Eddie still attended his yearly class reunions. He built a successful career as a union plumber working for Funari & Brogna, East Penn Mechanical, and retired from HT Lyons. He was also a volunteer firefighter and a proud lifetime member of Citizen's Fire Co. #2 in Emmaus. Eddie enjoyed the outdoors and spent his free time hunting and gardening. He was the last founding member of the Hardly Able hunting camp. His passion for dancing earned him the nickname, "Ed Astaire". He is survived by his children: Deborah, wife of Thomas Janci; Douglas Miller; Dale Miller, wife Jeannine (Perna); Tammy, wife of Joseph Eddinger; and Michael Miller; grandchildren: Rebecca, Evan, and Jordan: great-grandchildren: Amelia, Eleanor, Ethan, and Theo and sister, Shirley Reabuck. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Schaeffer. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Western Salisbury Cemetery, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are being handled by Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus. Memorial contributions may be made in Eddie's name to a charity of one's choice.
