Eileen J. Mihocko

Eileen J. Mihocko, age 71, passed away on July 31, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Eileen's warm enthusiasm enriched the lives of all around her. She grew up in Egypt, PA, the daughter of the late Myrtle (Leh) and Andrew Mihocko. She was a graduate of Whitehall High School and Bloomsburg State College where she earned a BS in Business. Her artistic interests led to a career making and selling stained glass art at summer craft fairs, before taking a job as Community Coordinator at Phoebe Nursing Home in Allentown. Phoebe residents loved her picnics, art projects, special tea parties with vintage tea cups she bought at flea markets, and sing-alongs to her piano accompaniments. Eileen loved animals and in addition to her own cats, she acquired a rabbit and cockatiel to live on the Phoebe Home memory unit floor, to the enjoyment of those who lived there. She was a passionate tennis player, enjoying weekly matches with friends until her illness. Simple pleasures were family scrabble games, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, sharing meals and outings to museums and beaches. Her kindness, generosity and many interests endeared her to many, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her Sisters, Lois Lovejoy (Bill) and Gail Mihocko; Niece, Julia Lovejoy; Cousins and many Friends. Services: A memorial service will be held 11:00 to noon on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Phoebe Home, Moyer Hall, 1925 Turner St., Allentown.
