George Walter Obituary

George R. Walter, 91, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was the loving husband of Carol (Cassel) Foster. Born February 17, 1934 in Hatfield, PA, he was a son to the late Stanley and Ruth (Richert) Walter. George was a highly respected auto mechanic, known for his skill, dedication and ability to fix just about anything. Along with restoring vehicles, he also enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and watching wildlife. George was a long time member of the former Montgomery Baptist Church in Montgomeryville, PA. Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons, Norman Scott Walter of Hatboro, George A. Walter of Lansdale; step-son, Jay Scott (Carol) of Kulpsville, step-daughter, Jennifer Foster-Pone (David) of Souderton; siblings, Jean White, Lee Roy Walter, Alfred Walter, Nan Spencer, Fred Walter, Lois McKenna, Elwood Walter, Henry Walter, and Elias Walter. He is predeceased by his first wife, Janette Walter, a daughter, Beth Ann Walter, step-son, Robert T. Foster and four siblings. The family will receive friends starting 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446, with the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the family's cemetery.
