Jamie "Long" Solomon

Jamie Gail Solomon, age 73 of Jim Thorpe, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. Jamie was born to Mr. & Mrs. Long on August 30, 1951, in Palmerton PA. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William "Bump" Solomon, whom passed away on March 20, 2023. They married on June 6, 1970. Jamie was a graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and retired with the Jim Thorpe Police Department. Jamie was selfless. She created a world of pure kindness where her purpose in life was to make others feel good. Jamie had a reputation of volunteer work for the food pantries, Veteran dinners, Jim Thorpe Community Watch, National Night Out, and Sam Miller. She enjoyed gardening, riding her bicycle, and hanging with friends and family any chance she got. Jamie's family plans to spread joy throughout the community in honor of her unwavering kindness. Surviving in addition to Jamie are her children; Debra "Pumpkin" Evans and her husband James Jr. & William "Chip" Solomon, grandchildren; Bryanna Massar and her wife Kelsey, Alexis Solomon, and Kylie Solomon, and many fur babies that she cherished spending time with including the infamous Paco Taco. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11 AM in David J.Stianche Funeral Home, Jim Thorpe. Calling hours will be from 9 AM until the time of service in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Jamies family asks for all memorial contributions to be sent directly to Jamie's home. The family plans to donate on behalf of Jamie to families that are currently experiencing lymphoma-related diagnoses.
