John G. Brunnquell

John G. Brunnquell, age 26 of Effort, PA passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at home. John was born in Rahway, NJ on February 26, 1999, son of Joanne (Paredes) Brunnquell of Effort and Philip R. Brunnquell of Dingmans Ferry. He is survived by his mother Joanne (Paredes) Brunnquell of Effort, PA, his father: Philip R. Brunnquell of Dingmans Ferry, PA, He is survived by his children Lilah Brunnquell(5), and Benjamin Brunnquell (4) and their mother Madi Hernandez. He is additionally survived by his siblings: Garrett Brunnquell of Winter Garden, FL, Rachel Brunnquell of Saylorsburg, PA, Mark Brunnquell of Roseland, NJ and Philip M. Brunnquell and spouse Jennifer of Cedar Grove, NJ. and their son Alexander Brunnquell. He is also survived by his godfather: John Paredes of Pleasanton, CA, godmother: Donna Brunnquell of Roseland, NJ and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. We have all been blessed with the presence of John in our lives. John was happiest around his pride and joy -his two children Lilah and Benji. He had a big heart and an endearing personality that will be missed and forever remembered by all of us who loved him and knew him. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Gilbert, PA. where he received his first Communion and Confirmation. As a youth he was homeschooled and spent many years as a boy scout with Pack 98. Before graduating from Notre Dame in East Stroudsburg, he attended Pius X High School and was active in football and basketball. He attended Northampton college for two years and then he worked as a salesman for Telcom Communications for several years. Johnny loved many different genres of music and was just learning how to play the electric guitar. He considered being a father to his two beloved children the biggest blessing in his life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Gilbert, PA. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 9:00 - 9:30 am at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA. John will be laid to rest at the Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert, PA.
