John Glassic Obituary

John H. Glassic, a devoted husband, proud father, and loving brother and friend, passed away on October 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on June 16, 1957, in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Joseph and Vida (Taylor) Glassic. A Liberty High School graduate, Class of 1975, John built a career at B. Braun as an Injection Mechanic Molding Lead, where his skill and steady work ethic earned the respect of all who worked with him. But more than his work, it was the way he lived his life-with honesty, dedication, and a ready smile-that left a lasting mark. John shared more than 45 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Wendy (Hendricks) Glassic. Together they raised two children, daughter Erin Glassic, fiancé to Andrew Roth, and son Jon Glassic, who were the heart of his world. He is also survived by his sisters, Irene and Theresa, and predeceased by his late brother Joseph. Cars were John's true passion, especially classic muscle. His '66 Chevy Nova Super Sport was a familiar sight at Macungie cruise nights, and his love for the car community was about more than the vehicles-it was about the friendships, the stories, and the shared laughter. A loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and a fan of rock music, particularly Led Zeppelin, John enjoyed the rhythms of life at his own pace, letting music and sport be companions, not distractions. John's garage was his favorite place-a spot where friends and family could drop by, share a story, laugh, and simply enjoy each other's company. He loved these easy moments of connection, the kind of conversations that felt like home, and they truly reflected the heart of the man he was. He gave generously of his time to others, coaching Fountain Hill Little League and Mountainville Football, and guiding young Cub Scouts as a Den Leader. A Red Belt in Tang Soo Do, John approached life with discipline, patience, and quiet determination. He also enjoyed archery and the calm focus of the range. Above all, John's greatest joy was his family, and he was always protective, kind, and ready with a simple reminder to "be careful and behave." Services: A Celebration of John's life will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Family and friends are welcome to gather with the family from 10 A.M. until the service begins. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Maxwell James Oskam Foundation, INC.
