Kathy Calcaterra

Kathy Calcaterra, 69, of Stroud Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025, at home. She was the wife of Thomas Calcaterra with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. Born on September 2, 1955 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late to Francis Emmett and Eloise "Toy" (Brush) Noone. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County having been raised in Canadensis, then lived in Mountainhome for 35 years and spent the last five years in Stroud Township. Kathy was a homemaker and hairdresser; and her biggest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and family. In addition to her husband, surviving are four children, Michael Stiff (Sarah) of Henryville, Stephanie Calcaterra (Adam) of New York, NY, Bryan Calcaterra (Megan) of Vail, CO and James Calcaterra (Cathryn) of Frisco, TX; six grandchildren, Dakota, Mason and Cole Stiff all of Henryville, Kayla Stiff of Howell, NJ, Brynn and Dylan Calcaterra both of Frisco, TX; three siblings Joan Higgins (Tom) of Montclair, NJ, Rick Noone (Connie) of Mountainhome, and Betty Noll (wife of the late John) of Bethlehem; a daughter-in-law, Linda Stiff; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Stiff and a brother, Patrick Noone. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, August 7th, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Services will be held on Friday, August 8th, at the funeral home where visitation will begin at 10am and be followed by a funeral service at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the SPCA Humane Society.
