Kenneth Macaulay Obituary
Kenneth "Ken" Gage Macaulay III, 67, of Perkasie, PA entered into rest on Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home.
He was the beloved husband of Katherine "Kathy" Marie (Johnson) Macaulay for 43 years. Born in Malden, MA, he was the son of the late Kenneth Gage Macaulay, Jr., and Barbara (Laurette) Macaulay.
Ken graduated from Malden High School (Malden, MA) in 1976. He then worked as a commercial fisherman in Harwich, MA, before transitioning to historical restoration with Vinnie Mawn in Braintree, MA. Ken was a union carpenter, working with a local chapter in Hingham, MA, and later in Philadelphia, PA. Before retiring, he was employed with Brand Energy for 20 years.
Ken's interests included carpentry, farming, stamp collecting, building model ships, reading, and playing guitar. A history enthusiast, he was an avid reader who loved learning about historical figures and events. He had a passion for music, particularly the Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young, whose songs he could readily play by ear. His greatest love, however, was his family, and he especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
Ken was a natural problem-solver, willing to dedicate hours to figuring out how to fix anything. He had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor, always ready with a funny story to make people laugh. A hard worker, he was devoted to his family, selflessly giving his time and energy to ensure their well-being. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Gage Macaulay IV & wife, Tina of Perkasie, PA, Christopher W. Macaulay & partner, Paige Springer of Perkasie, PA; his daughter, Keri-Anne Moore & husband, Kyle of Greenville, SC; his five granddaughters – Reese, Emmie, Isla, Sophie, & Bria; his five sisters, Cheryl Harrington of Danvers, MA, Kim Luther & husband, John of Stoneham, MA, Donna Rego & husband, Ken Ryan of Andover, MA, Rose Macaulay of Stoneham, MA, Laura Gilligan & husband, Kevin of Malden, MA; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Macaulay.
