Lawrence M. Barone

Lawrence Matthew Barone, age 67 of Saylorsburg, PA passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus in Stroudsburg, PA. Lawrence was the loving husband of Harriet L. (Weiss) Barone. They would have celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary on October 13th. He was born in New York, NY on February 4, 1958, son of the late Edgar and Evelyn (Shubert) Barone. He served our country with dedication and courage in the United States Army. Lawrence had worked as a Stage Manager for Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in Bronx, NY for many years until retiring. Lawrence served as a past president of the Pocono Autism Society in Stroudsburg, PA, a Vice Chairman for Garden of Giving in McMichaels, PA and was a parent co-chairman of the Local Interagency Coordinating Committee in Stroudsburg, PA. He was an avid Yankees fan, enjoyed woodworking and music. He was an advocate for children with disabilities assisting families with IEPs. He volunteered with many organizations in addition to those listed. We have been blessed with the presence of Lawrence in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife: Harriet (Weiss) Barone of Saylorsburg, PA, his children: Evelyn Barone, Katherine Barone and Max Barone all of Saylorsburg, PA. He is also survived by four siblings: Ronald Barone of Saylorsburg, PA, Steven Barone of Saylorsburg, PA, Mark Barone of Olathe, KS and Maryann Barone of Elmhurst, NY, one niece, two nephews, one great niece and two great nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:30 am, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 10:30 am until time of service at the funeral home. Lawrence will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Veterans Cemetery in Annville, PA at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 10, 2025, with military honors.
