Marilynn R. McGuirl

Marilynn Rose McGuirl, 87 passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2025, in Macungie Pennsylvania. Marilynn's journey began on August 24, 1937, to the late Michael and Rose Giordano in Bayonne, New Jersey. The family later moved to Wood-Ridge, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Wood-Ridge High School, attended Secretarial School, and worked as an executive secretary in New York City for many years before becoming a loving mother to Lisa Ann and Robert Michael (deceased.) She returned to secretarial work when her children were of school age. She worked at Windsor School, the school where her children attended, as secretary to the principal. After 25 years she retired and moved to Chandler, Arizona. She enjoyed the sunny weather that Arizona had to offer and made many long-time friends while there. She enjoyed cooking, reading, volunteering in her daughter's classroom, and visiting the beach in nearby Mexico. Marilynn was a loving mother and doggie Grammy, a natural caregiver, and a loyal friend who was always there in times of celebration, but more importantly, during times of sadness and difficulty. Her door was always open, and her home was filled with love, warmth, and kindness. Marilynn will be sorely missed by the many lives she touched during her 87 years. Marilynn is survived by her loving daughter and sister, Lisa MacFarland and Barbara M'Gonigle. A celebration of Marilynn's life will be private and held at a later date. The family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to either the American Lung Association or the American Respiratory Care Foundation in Marilynn's name.
