Miguel A. Nieves, de 69 años, de Bethlehem, falleció pacíficamente el 4 de octubre de 2025, rodeado de su amada familia. Nacido el 14 de febrero de 1956 en Puerto Rico, era hijo del difunto Miguel Ángel Nieves Maldonado y Natvidad Colón. Miguel era el devoto esposo de María (Vázquez) Nieves. Juntos compartieron más de 50 años de matrimonio y criaron una hermosa familia. Le sobreviven sus hijos, Alex Nieves y su esposa Paola, Arelis Nieves y su esposo José Rivera, y Javier Nieves; hermana Myra; 11 nietos; y muchos bisnietos. Fue precedido por su hijo Miguel A. Nieves y tres hermanos. Miguel fue propietario y operó Maldonado's Cleaning durante más de 20 años. Era conocido por su arduo trabajo, honestidad y dedicación a aquellos a quienes servía. Un verdadero hombre de familia, a Miguel le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y disfrutaba especialmente viendo películas juntos. Era un abuelo y bisabuelo dedicado que se enorgullecía de estar allí para su familia y apoyarlos en todo lo que podía. Un hombre de profunda fe, Miguel fue un miembro fiel de la Iglesia del Señor de Esmirna en Belén. Encontró una gran alegría en su iglesia y comunidad, siempre ofreciendo amabilidad y apoyo a los demás. Hizo mucho por su comunidad en South Bethlehem, donde fue admirado por su generosidad y espíritu solidario. Born on February 14, 1956, in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Miguel Angel Nieves Maldonado and Natvidad Colon. Miguel was the devoted husband of Maria (Vazquez) Nieves. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage and raised a beautiful family. He is survived by his children, Alex Nieves and his wife Paola, Arelis Nieves and her husband Jose Rivera, and Javier Nieves; sister Myra; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Miguel A. Nieves and three siblings. Miguel owned and operated Maldonado's Cleaning for more than 20 years. He was known for his hard work, honesty, and dedication to those he served. A true family man, Miguel loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed watching movies together. He was a dedicated grandfather and great-grandfather who took pride in being there for his family and supporting them in every way he could. A man of deep faith, Miguel was a faithful member of Smyrna Church of the Lord in Bethlehem. He found great joy in his church and community, always offering kindness and support to others. He did so much for his community in South Bethlehem, where he was admired for his generosity and caring spirit. He will be remembered for his warm smile, strong work ethic, love for his family, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
