Nancy Fox Obituary
Nancy Lorraine Fox, 82, of Wyomissing, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Country Meadows Retirement Community surrounded by her loving family.
She met the love of her life, Bill Fox at Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. They were married on September 4, 1966.
Born September 6, 1942 in Allentown, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Monroe Brotzman and Florence (Flick).
Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Wilson High School of Easton, PA and later went on to obtain her nursing degree from Temple University, graduating in 1963. She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center for over 25 years. Nancy and her husband raised their children in Colony Park, where they lived for 45 years. She was an active volunteer with Seniors Helping Seniors and Berks Encore.
In Nancy's free time she enjoyed crocheting, golfing, playing card games, especially "Pay Me", and going to the casino.
She was an amazing cook and baker. Thanksgiving was the highlight of her year. She would prepare the entire meal by herself, often cooking for several days to prepare. Baking Christmas cookies was another passion of hers. She was best known for her delicious Chocolate Chip cookies.
Nancy loved golfing and was a very active member of the women's golf league at Flying Hills. She hosted for 21 consecutive years the annual Fox golf outing, bringing together friends and family to enjoy a round of golf and a great party afterwards. She enjoyed her yearly trips to Palm Harbor, Florida with her husband and her family trips to Deep Creek Lake and Strathmere. Frequently she would relax and enjoy her favorite drink, Vodka Tonic. What brought her true joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved hosting family dinners and having everyone over for the holidays.
She is survived by two children, Cynthia (Fox) Ramer of Wyomissing, and William Fox, Husband of Karen (Koslosky) of Sinking Spring.
Six grandchildren are also surviving: Amanda McLean; Jonathan Fox, husband of Miranda (Reedy); Lauren Fox; Joseph Fox; Mitchell Ramer, husband of Siani ; and Lindsey Fox. One great grandchild Baker Monroe Fox.
There are two siblings still surviving, Harvey Brotzman, husband of Deanna of Reno, NV, and David Brotzman, husband of Margaret (Spiller) of Northampton County.
Nancy was predeceased by one sibling, Robert Brotzman.
A service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, West Lawn. A viewing will take place prior at the same location from 10 a.m to 11 a.m. Burial will follow after at St. John's Hains Church Cemetery.
