Richard Miller Obituary

Richard T. Miller, 72, of Allentown passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving wife Barbara A. Younger and family. They celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary last September. Richard was born in Bethesda, MD, a son of the late Thomas S. and Patricia A. (Ritter) Miller. He was a graduate of William Allen High School Class of 1970 and graduated from Penn State University with honors in 1974. Richard was employed as a bookkeeper for the Salvation Army for many years and retired as a customer service representative for United Health Care. He enjoyed reading, puzzles, walking, hiking and biking on the DNL Trail with his wife Barbara. Richard had a love of animals and cherished his dogs Sierra, Missy and Charlie. Survivors: Wife, Barbara; sister, Kay L. Kleppinger and her husband Richard D. of Palm, PA; nephews, Adrew Miller, Christopher and Michael Kleppinger. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert A. Miller. Services: A celebration of Richard's life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 13th at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Friends and family may call from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. .
