Rose Lipari Obituary
Rose Lipari, 88, of Wind Gap, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the loving wife of the late Dominick Lipari, who she met at the young age of 13 and celebrated 65 years of marriage together before his passing on July 13, 2024. Rose is predeceased by her brother, Michael Principato, and her sister, Francis Duhamel and husband, William Duhamel.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Linda Boggs and her husband George of Salisbury, PA; granddaughter, Nicole Mattos and her husband Daniel of Pen Argyl, PA; grandson Joseph Cianciotta of Nazareth, PA; and great grandchildren, Dominick, Vincent, and Santino. She is also survived by her sister Carmela Ruggiero and her husband James, sister Marie Augello and her husband Steve, and sister-in-law, Monica Principato.
Born on July 17, 1937, in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Principato and the late Angela (DiStefano) Principato. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn, NY, and Staten Island, NY, creating many lasting memories with friends and family before moving to Melbourne, FL, with her husband, living the dream in retirement and making many more lifetime friends. They relocated back north to Manchester, NJ, to be closer to family before finally moving to Wind Gap, PA.
Rose was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, to all of her family, and was unshakable in her devotion to her Catholic faith, always doing her afternoon prayers without fail. She was an amazing cook and was famous for her many trays of delicious Christmas cookies that she would distribute to all of her cherished friends and family. Every year, she and her husband would throw unforgettable New Years Eve parties, where everyone would enjoy her famous rice balls and countless other homemade Italian recipes. Rose also loved taking trips to Atlantic City and playing slot machines. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her lasting legacy and traditions will continue to be passed down through generations.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM with Father John Boyle officiating. Burial will follow the service in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
