Dr. Assali performed an outpatient procedure on me just 2 weeks ago. It was the first time I met her and the only doctor I ever looked forward to seeing again. Her humor was refreshing to see in such a stoic profession. We laughed our way all through my visit. Thank you, Sarah. May God rest your soul and bring peace to your loved ones.

As Dr Assali's patient i will miss her immensely she took care of me at a critical time of my life, even my post-op check ups she cared to the point hugging me and saying anything you need just call me. She was so special I shall never forget her.

Even making her run up and down a basketball court when she was younger, she could always make you laugh or bring a smile to your face. Be strong and well at this time. Our best to you.

We have the joy of knowing Sarah (or Dr. Sarah as I enjoy calling her) through our daughter Kasey. We watched her journey through med school and cheered her on as she ventured out to use her skills. I doubt she knew that when we visted Kasey one of the questions always was how is Dr. Sarah doing and where is she now.
I speak of her often to my friends as "the girl on the TV that talked to the press about the family denied entrance into the states". I always get the response of -"I remember her". Never afraid to speak her mind/stand her ground regardless if it was the personal or national stage.
I wish you peace in the coming days and hope the happy/silly memories will help you in getting through what has to be done. I will keep her smile in my heart and in my prayers.

Sarah was an amazing part of the Hospital's staff. I enjoyed the short time I spent working with her in the Operating Room. Thoughts are with the entire family and friends. She will be missed.
