Stanley Kaszupski Obituary
Stanley Joseph Kaszupski Sr., 83, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia Ann (Bittenbender) Kaszupski, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Born on September 17, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, Stan was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Kaszupski. He grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from St. John Cantius High School in 1960. He went on to earn his degree in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University in 1966, where he was also a member of the Wildcats' shot put team.
Stan worked as a federal civilian employee for the U.S. Army at Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia and later transferred to Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey. He retired in January 2003 after 36 years of dedicated service to his country.
In his youth, Stan played accordion in the polka band The Cousins Two and enjoyed performing at local events throughout Philadelphia, in addition to cutting their own album. After moving to East Stroudsburg in 1977, he became an active member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir and participated in the weekly prayer group for many years. He also called the numbers at Notre Dame High School's weekly BINGO nights.
Following his retirement, Stan devoted more time to the things he loved most, his family and his many hobbies. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and never turned down an opportunity to tell them a story often incorporating important life lessons, like treating everyone with love and respect. He was proficient in multiple computer languages, enjoyed photography, and playing the piano and keyboard. He was also a huge fan of Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and Josh Groban.
Stan was probably most famous in his inner circle for rarely making a "long story short." And most of all, Stan cherished his family, and with every goodbye reminded them, "I love you. Keep smiling."
Stan is survived by his children: Stanley Kaszupski Jr. of Edmond, OK; Tricia Ann Leibig of Stroudsburg; Anna Kaszupski and her partner, George Gallagher, of Delaware Water Gap; Liz Harkins and her husband, Chris, of Levittown; Mary Clarke and her husband, Justin, of Voorhees, NJ; and Sarah Kresge and her husband, Ryan, of East Stroudsburg. He was a beloved "Pop Pop" to six grandchildren; Zachary, Xavier, Magnus, Nicolina, Ellianna, and Johnny-and a great-grandson, Sebastian. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Kaszupski, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his beloved wife, Stan was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Kaszupski, and his sisters, Helen and Christine Kaszupski.
Stan's life will be celebrated on Saturday October 4th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with visitation beginning at 2PM followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 4PM.
