Theodore Jacob Vogt III

Theodore Jacob Vogt III, 80, husband of Kay (Dawson) Vogt, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Theodore Jacob Vogt Jr. and Margaret (Bates) Vogt Lochel. Ted proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He served 3 tours on the USS Constellation Aircraft Carrier. Ted was very involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, serving as a troop leader. He was the recipient of the prestigious God and Country Award for his dedicative contributions to the Scouts. Ted was a long-time active member of First Presbyterian Church in Pottstown. He was a former deacon and long-time Sunday School teacher. Ted was strong in his faith and is with the Lord. Ted's life was all about his children and his grandchildren. He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles fan. Over the years, he recorded the wrestling matches at Pottsgrove High School for the program for several years. Ted enjoyed traveling the country in their RV and camping with his wife and family. Surviving along with his wife, Kay of 52 and half years, are his children Theodore Bradley Vogt, husband of Amanda; Troy Bates Vogt, husband of Jamie; and Gretchen Ann Radswillas, wife of Robert; grandchildren Payton Vogt, Theordore Jacob Vogt IV, Ryan Vogt, Isabella Vogt, Aislin Vogt, Bailey Radswillas, and Parker Radswillas. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother William Bates Vogt. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church (750 N Evans St, Pottstown, PA 19464). Burial will follow at the Church Peace Garden. A visitation will also be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities (57 N Franklin St, Pottstown, PA 19464) in Ted's name.
