Walter R. "Rick" Vogeley III

Walter "Rick" R. Vogeley III, 82, of Hamilton Township, died Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025, at Brookmont Healthcare Center. Born on March 29, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Walter R. Jr. and Edith M. (Becker) Vogeley and lived in Monroe County since 1977. He worked for Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center and Borough of East Stroudsburg Recycling Center. Rick was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Stroud Township; was a past member of the New York Lodge F&AM; volunteered for local food pantries PVEN in Chestnuthill Township and Follow Me Foundation in Stroudsburg; and enjoyed fresh water fishing. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Cheryl E. (Setzer) Vogeley and a step-son, Charles "Chuck" O'Rourke and wife Julie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Babette Markey and wife, Joan D. (Loney) Vogeley. Services will be held on Saturday, April 12th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg where visitation will begin at 10:00AM and be followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM with Rev. Jack Tironi officiating. Private burial will take place at Custard's Cemetery in Bartonsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 1160 Clause Drive, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
