Wendy Queen Obituary
Wendy Queen, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, in St. Lukes Carbon Campus, Lehighton, PA. Born on November 15, 1967, in Palmerton, PA. Wendy was a daughter to the late Robert and Kathleen (Rimsky) Queen and Frederick Walker. She grew up surrounded by love and laughter, which she carried with her throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Jim Thorpe High School, Class of 1985, Wendy's passion for helping others led her to a rewarding career for Pathstone in Scranton, where she dedicated 30 years of service. Her compassion and unwavering dedication to those in need made a significant impact on countless lives. Wendy was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe.
Wendy's legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her sons, Carson of Levittown and Cody of Wilkes Barre. Her sisters, Melissa Reis of Jim Thorpe and Amy Clewell, along with her husband Mark Sr. of Wilmington, NC – parents of her beloved nephews, Mark Jr. and Matthew and niece Alexis. Her brother, Kevin Queen of Souderton, and sister, the late Julie Walker, whose memory she held close to her heart. She is also survived by cousins, and an abundance of close friends.
Those who knew Wendy will remember her for her radiant smile, her infectious laugh, and her kind and generous spirit. She can also be remembered for her love to travel, flowers and her green thumb, and her love for 80's music and dancing. Most especially all things BLING, particularly her love for 'lippy'. Wendy could also be known as the QUEEN of self care.
As we say goodbye to Wendy, we celebrate the extraordinary woman she was and the indelible mark she left on the world. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light to her family, friends, and all who were blessed to be a part of her life.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the David J. Stianche Funeral Home in Jim Thorpe, officiated by Father Ronald Minner. Calling hours will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. JosephCatholic Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman who gave so much to so many.
Wendy's family kindly requests that donations be made to the Jim Thorpe Area High School Theatre Department (1 Olympian Way, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229) in Wendy's memory. Her love for the performing arts and her unwavering support of student creativity left a lasting impact on her family and on the program. Contributions will help to nurture future generations of young performers.
