William Hines Obituary

William J. Hines, 78, of Brodheadsville, passed away Tuesday, December 24, at home. He was the loving husband of Sharyn (Potavin) Hines. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in August of this year. Born on November 9, 1946, in Ridgewood, NY, he was the son of the late William H. Hines and the late Elizabeth (Previti) Hines. Bill proudly served his country and was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a central office technician for the New York Telephone Company for thirty three years. He loved fishing, especially in Princeton, ME, where he also married Sharyn twenty five years ago. For the last forty years he enjoyed his trips and the memories made there. He was one in a million and loved and adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A celebration of life gathering will also be scheduled on a later date in the spring at the convenience of the family. www.kresgefuneralhome.com To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of William, please visit our floral store.
