Alex Negron

Alex Javier Negron Nieves was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was born on August 9, 1977, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the youngest of two children of the late Manuel Negron Medina and Amilca Nieves Gonzalez. Alex had a love for music and at the early age of 11 years old learned how to play guitar. Playing guitar during his youth was his pass time. Alex attended Marcelino Rodriguez Roman school in Moca, Puerto Rico. After graduating he worked at El Bamboo Hardware Store and as a Security Guard for several years in Puerto Rico. Alex decided to relocate to Meriden back in 2015. Ragozzino Foods in Meriden most recently employed him for the past six years. Alex was a faithful member of Iglesia Cristiana Adonai, where he served under Pastor Hiram Rivera, here in Meriden for the past two years. He was one of the church musicians playing both guitar and piano, which he self-taught. Because of his love for playing his guitar, his brother Victor often teased him "that his guitar was your wife." Overall, Alex was a very caring and loving person who enjoyed life and spending time with family. He enjoyed playing his guitar and would never pass up a delicious meal. He was a diligent worker who helped wherever needed. Above all Alex loved God and to Praise Him. When asked "How are you?" his response was always "In Victory!" Psalms 91 was one of his favorite readings. He is survived by his only brother Victor Manuel Negron Nieves and his wife Wanda Bonet Lorenzo, his nephew, Axel Negron Bonet and his niece Zorelis Negron Bonet of Puerto Rico and close loved ones. Alex will be dearly missed by both his family and church family and friends. All services are private and under the direction of the John J.
